A radioactive man seemingly made of gold whose origins remain a mystery.

Intro. “America likes its heroes handsome but for every super-soldier how many mistakes do you think there are? How many failures? Good soldiers who did everything their country asked of them. Good soldiers who did not know the risks of radiation and were gung-ho enough to volunteer. What happens to them? They get swept under the carpet, they are made to go away. But I am not going to go away. I know how the system chews people up and spits them out. And I am here to destroy the false heroes.”

Features

Critical Mass appeared to be a crude statue of a man made out of gold. On the down side, he also gave off huge amounts of radiation.

History

Episode 37 :: Overdrive, Major Roc, Aquarius, Siege, Professor Creepy, and Gangrel traveled to Seattle, WA to confront Critical Mass, who had started rampaging at a student anti-war demonstration that morning. By the time the heroes arrived on the scene, Critical Mass had killed over 300 civilians. Overdrive and Professor Creepy took on the task of protecting and healing the public, while the others tried to subdue their foe. In the end, Critical Mass was killed by the brutal pummeling he received from Gangrel, Major Roc, and Siege (who was also terribly injured in the battle).
